Finally got some new tires

Now my Jeep looks more like a Jeep. I'm looking fwd to trying these out in the snow.

I was looking for something that would be a little better on these rocky mountain rds, but still with some street manners because we tend to take family road trips in the summer. I'm hoping these fit that criteria.

275-55-20 Cooper LTZ

I haven't driven them enough to give a review, but I will check back in at about 1000 miles and give you one.

Cheers!
NB

PS. 2 years, 27,000 miles, many washboard dirt roads and the Jeep is just as solid and rattle free as the day I bought it.

Looks awesome- congrats. Amazing how much better the rig looks with more aggressive 275/55/20's. I have same size Terra Grapplers and haven't once regretted the upgrade. Enjoy.

Have you noticed if they make more noise than the OEM tires? Are these a 60k mile tire?

I have the Cooper AT3's for about 10K now. Love them... I like this model too... nice upgrade!

I'm considering these as well as the Grapplers but was thinking sticking with the OEM size. Ditto on the question regarding noise and fell compared to the junk GY OEM tires? I'm sitting at 20k, but tired of dealing with the vibrations and road feel of the stock GYs. Jeep looks great!

I have limited time on them so far, but my initial impressions were very little added noise from the oem Goodyears. Maybe a slight hum, but nothing like a real A/T tire. I will circle back and comment more on this when I get some highway miles on them.

As far as how long they'll last, this is a good question. I read a lot of reviews and some folks say 55-60k, others more like 35-40k, so I guess I'll find out. I know the tread on these things is huge. I got a great deal on them so I would be more than happy to replace them at 50k.

Damn thing cleans up well for what I've put it through. I don't even think I have a door ding, that's gotta be a first.

Great upgrade to your Jeep, and to your point, it makes it look like a Jeep.

Quick question for the experts on this forum - does changing tire size like this risk any warranty coverage - either the base warranty or the Chrysler service contracts?

Thanks
John
