Noob LED Question

I am looking to put LED bulbs in my tail lights. Do the WK2 have a flasher relay or is the "flashing" controlled by the EVIC?

I was looking at these since they have the resistor built in.

Re: Noob LED Question

So far everyone that has used LED for the STOP/TURN position has added a resistor.

Go ahead and give those a shot there is plenty of room in the housing.

I would be curious to know how heavy they are.
It's a real bitch to get bulbs out of tail light housings when they fall out of the socket (Been There, Done That on my Subaru).

If you buy them, keep us posted on the results.

Chris IAH, those bulbs are an interesting find and probably worth a try. I wonder if they not only function as advertised with CANBUS, but how well they dissipate the heat that typical resistors normally collect.

I'll keep everybody posted

I wanted to try these new resistors I saw. It's actually built into the relay apparently. S you just pop out your old one and put this one in.

Interesting bulbs

Re: Noob LED Question

I'm interested as well. I hated my old LEDs because I had to splice into the factory wiring.

I have them in the box. With my crazy work schedule and the holidays... I haven't put them in yet. I'm on vacation next week and will have some time to do a write up !
