1/4 Mile times

Curious how everyones Jeeps are doing on the track? The wife ran ours a few months back out here in PHX, AZ (106* night) and was able to pull a 13.8 @ 95 mph with a 1.88 60'
This is bone stock, 3/4 tank of fuel, and trac control left on. She tried a few diff MODE settings but the truck did the same.

I may go tonight or tomm since weather is in the 60's now, and see how it does with not much fuel in it and trac control off.

Any how post up your times/mods!

Re: 1/4 Mile times

hot weather an dhumidity kills performance.

Foir comparison...I just ran mine on a local deserted road...not the best conditions or surface and got a 12.6. Mods include hennessey intake, Borla ATAK and 87mm ported TB. I cant wait for tuning for the 2013.

Re: 1/4 Mile times

I've had mine for over a year now. It is bone stock. It runs stronger in colder temps for sure.
Temps were running in the 40's F range when I've been to the track.
My best has been 13.008 secs at 104.9mph at a slightly slow track.

BTW, my EVIC displays the exact numbers the track timers get.
That said, I consistently get 12.7-12.8secs at 105-106mph on deserted roadways whether it's slight uphill or downhill if temps are cooler.
My best on local deserted roads is 12.5 secs at 107mph at 13 degrees F.

My Jeep is factory stock.

Re: 1/4 Mile times

Good feedback guys, and yes I'm asking for actual track #s not the EVIC.

Scott, yes the hot weather/humidity def does, I'm an avid drag racer just have yet to run the Jeep. I'm normally piloting the Mustang.

I was a lil dissapointed with the 13.8 a few months ago, but considering the heat and conditions I was ok with it. Plus the wife had a blast!

Re: 1/4 Mile times

Went a 13.47@102 with a 1.84 60' last night in the cooler weather. I also ran it on the EVIC 1/4 mile screen and it showed a 13.3@102
I tried launching at many diff rpms, and used all the different modes while playing. It seemed an idle or very low rpm launch worked best as it flashes the converter nicely and sport/track modes work best.
Still seems alot slower than what some run on these forums but I was glad to better the time so much.

Weird that when I googled the 1/4 mile time this morn motor trend and motor week rate it at 13.3 and 13.4 @ 103-104ish

Scott I couldnt agree more though, these things wake up in cooler weather!

Re: 1/4 Mile times

Elevation between KY and AZ is quite a bit different so that is alot of your timeslip differences, my best at the track was a 13.99 @ 97ish thats in CO at 4600' on the EVIC best was a 13.8 @ 99, Scott where did you find a ported TB?
