2004 Liberty Cooling Fan!
This is my first post - I feel like I am chasing a ghost with this problem, hopefully someone can offer me up some help.
About a week ago my wife's 2004 Jeep Liberty V6 3.7 started to overheat while idling (eventually all the way up to the high gauge reading). Once she resumed driving it started to go back down to normal temperature.
I swapped the High and Low Relays for the electric fan, as well as checked the fuses, I have coolant - and seem to be getting good flow. I am having difficulty locating the relay for the Radiator Fan Motor Relay - I want to swap this out before I go to change out the Temp Control Sensor (wouldn't it pop a diagnostic code if it was this particular sensor?) or have to swap out the radiator fan assembly. I am just trying to see if there is something that I have missed.
Ultimately, I am hoping someone knows the location of the Radiator Fan Motor Relay. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Re: 2004 Liberty Cooling Fan!
ultimately I would want to send power and ground directly to the fan and test the fan. The fan could be your problem.
