Fluid Leak under driver side front of vehicle.

Drove home and parked in the driveway for a few minutes before pulling into the garage. When I pulled into the garage I noticed a few spots on the driveway. They felt oily but it wasn't brown like oil. Looked under the vehicle and the oil pan nut and filter both are completely clean and dry. I noticed a huge wet spot under the driver side where the frame and lower control arm meet(I'm guessing thats what these parts are). All fluids look fine. I put it on ramps and looked underneath and couldn't see any source to the leak. It just starts on the frame, or so it looks. Anyway, here are a few pics of the area incase you guys have any thoughts. Maybe trans fluid or something since it has a redish hue to it.

Do you have the hydraulic power steering? I believe there is a service bulletin reference power steering fluid leak.

Check trans fluid. And check to see if its leaking from the trans cooler connectors. Minw used to leak from the tranny solenoid.

Looks like it might be power steering fluid to me.

I would also check Rad. hoses and water pump housing.

Thanks for the input guys. I was going to start pulling the plastic shield and other parts off, but decided not to since the dealer will have to fix whatever is wrong anyway. Checked the levels last night and just now before dropping it off before work. Everything looks fine. I don't have any more fluid on the undercarriage than I did last night. So I'm guessing the fluid is being forced out under operation pressure. Coolant is between the top mark and add mark, however it's been there for a week or so. Hopefully they'll figure it out today.

Had something simalar happen on my wife's 2005 dealer never found anything just suspected she ran over something on the road and it got thrown all over and looked like a leak.

Ended up being some sort of hose assembly housing or something for the coolant lines. Dealer had to order the part. They allegedly fixed it temporarily. They don't know when it will be in and weren't helpful when I asked about a rental as the repair will take all day.

I sure do miss luxury dealer service.

I agree, jeep needs to do a better job offering a loaner when repairs under warranty work takes over a 4 plus hours.

When I asked about setting up an appt and having a loaner they said they offered rental cars. They also offer a shuttle. Really? We also have a cheap $22k Honda for daily duty and Honda has no issue giving a loaner. Its crazy. This is the first American car I've owned and its making me second guess trading in on a 2014 next year.

I'd rather have the experience of a loaner and hassle free appts when I have to go to a dealer.

You're lucky, most Honda dealers don't offer loaners.
