If you have the stock system without the BA speakers there are a lot of options out there members have replaced their speakers with infinity kappas in the doors and various other brands. I replaced the dash speakers in my WK with kicker ks series speakers and have been amazed at the clarity difference that is there. If you are going for clarity you might want to look into component sets but that might require an aftermarket amp to power them and I don't know if you want to go that far into replacement.

i went with Infinity Reference for the dash only. Everything else i kept stock.

Which system does your Jeep have from the factory?

how do you like those infinity speakers? I debated using those but i thought they might be too bright for my liking. The last set of Infinity speakers I had were entirely to bright and almost on the verge of harsh.

I went all out and installed front and rear door components, amps, sub, and what I found is I only really needed the front door speakers and it sounds them same as having the rears running, unless your sitting in the back seats, but even then sitting in the back its loud and sounds great with just the fronts. I unhooked the dash speakers and cant even notice. I installed 6.5s w/tweeters in the stock 6x9 openings by making a cover plate from MDF and mounted them side by side. The vocals end up sounding like its up front.

Whats your price range? Basically any aftermarket speaker will sound alot better than the stock paper speakers mine came with. I dont have much experience with alot of different speaker brands, but can tell you that the JL Audio TR's I have in the rear doors go loud and clear, I tried them with no amp and feel they are worth there price. I've also gone on car audio forums and those guys will buy low priced speakers and make there own systems, and you can prob find some good deals on people selling their used speakers. For example I was informed that an $80 Dayton sub will blow away my JL 10w6v2 sub.

And remember you can always remove the aftermarkets and install them in any future car you get so save the stock ones. Thats what justified spending a little extra on my stereo gear in that hopefully i'll have it forever. I even still have an old PPI and Alpine amp and Boston Acoustic speakers(back when they were considered top of the line)from my very first car back in 1996.
