Thoughts on this 2013 Laredo E offer?

Base: 2013 Laredo V6 4x2 ($27,695)

Options: E-Package ($1,700), Security & Convenience ($995), Tow Package ($595), Katzkin Leather Installation ($995), Destination ($995)

Total MSRP with Options (including Katzkin value): $32,975

Negotiated price: $28,500 - 13.5% off MSRP (closer to 11% if you don't count destination charge in MSRP).

Seems pretty good to me?

I would say that is a very good deal. Invoice on the 4x2 is just a shade over $27k. according to WK2 sheets

That part looks very good - now see what the "out the door" price is. If under $30k or even a few benjamins over that is a really good deal.

Add-ons for tax, tags, license are $787, so out-the-door = $29,287.

They tried to come back and say that price was only good if I financed with them - I told them what rate I was getting through my credit union and that I wasn't buying if they couldn't match it - they quickly dropped that.

Theoretically I'm getting nitro filled tires too (I refused to include that in my value)...

Sounds like a good deal! If you're in to extended warranties, might want to check out the online ones so you know what kind of markup they'll tack on to the extended warranty they will try to sell you. :)

Don't buy a 4x2 you will regret it.

Why would he regret it if he lives someone (say Florida) that he will never use it? That would just be a waste of money.. Now granted we don't know where he lives so we can only guess.

Spend $2K more and get 4x4. It will be worth much more when you dump it. Otherwise, it's a good price.

Just because he might live somewhere sunny now does not mean that will be true in the future.
