Added an SRT8 rear sway bar to the 07 WK Limited

Anyone who might be sitting on the fence about this upgrade should just go ahead and do it! Money well spent and for about $100 the Jeep now corners much better.

Couple tips from my install today:

1. Jack up the rear of the Jeep, place it on stands and remove the rear tires. I attempted to remove the old bar with the Jeep on ramps and it quickly became apparent that wasn't going to work.

2. When removing the old bar or installing the new one, do whatever it takes to separate the body away from the axle. Since I had my axle sitting on jack stands, I simply lifted the body a little by jacking in front of the axle on the passenger side. That little bit of extra room makes things a lot easier.

3. When installing the new bushings and mounting brackets, silicon spray in your friend.

4. Looking at the OEM and SRT8 bars side by side may not look like there's much difference. However the SRT8 is solid and noticeably heavier.

I got my rear bar, brackets and bushings from moparusa and justforjeeps. Roughly $100 total and definitely worth every penny. Today the winds around here were blowing at about 35mph, with gust up to 50mph and to be honest, I didn't really notice at all while driving. I cross a 3/4 mile wide bridge twice each day and in my 00XJ and 04WJ it is a challenge to keep it in one lane on days like today. With the SRT8 rear bar on the 07WK this morning, it was no big deal. The ability to take sharp curves at speed is also noticably improved.

Now you say silicone spray, others say to "grease" them.. what's the proper thing to do Scott?

....never touched mine with anything. Over 25K miles and not a noise from them.......

to my knowledge....polyurethane bushings shouldnt need any kind of lubricant for quite awhile......and I'm not sure what jeep recommends.
