Carbon Fiber Grill and Rear Boomerang

So I decided to de-chrome my Overland a bit...hopefully hold over my modding until the DiabloSport is released and proven to be a good addition.

Anyways, I've sadly just discovered Black Ops Autoworks and their great products. I immediately ordered the mirror covers and really want to order the grill and rear boomerang BUT....(here comes the purpose of this thread)....they are not in stock. Chad, who seems to be a great guy, said he's not sure when they will make the grill and rear boomerang again. I figure if he has more people interested in buying, it might bump it up on his production priority list.

SO...who else out there is interested in the grill and rear boomerang in Carbon Fiber??

I'm going to wrap most of my chrome with vinyl but these few pieces of real quality carbon fiber will subtly set it apart. PLUS, Chad @ BlackOps is a great forum supporter...win-win!

Sound out if you're also interested and maybe we can convince him to make some more :D

What is the price on these pieces? They look great!

I agree...definitely quality work!

There are links to the BlackOps order pages below the images. The prices are listed there although I do not know if that is the final price once they are made available again.

What tires are on your Jeep?

Re: Carbon Fiber Grill and Rear Boomerang

@ Turbospartan - Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's with Kevlar on Stock 18's powder-coated black

@ Raptor - I understand your frustration but I also know that Chad is trying to run a business and can't always do one-off's. The grills are difficult to make and are most likely only profitable if he makes a batch of them (hence this post to try to drum up more interest so he will make some more). Supply and demand.

But that doesn't seem to apply to everyone on this board?? Check out this thread;

It seems some, not only can still get 2011+ WK2 C/F parts, but they can get them in custom colors as well! I still don't get the reason why a forum vendor doesn't want to sell C/F parts to all who may want them, parts that are still listed on his websight right now, as I type??

Do like I DID and.pay for them in.advance! Chad explained it to me...he gets so many tire kickers and no money. These parts are expensive to make and keep in stock. To be honest he also said he doesn't sell hardly any 2011+ parts.....bunch cheap jeepers I guess......

nlowell,

How do your tires ride? How loud and how harsh? I put Terra Grapplers on my stock 20's at 265/50/20 size and they ride way too siff/rough/harch. I was surprised people like these on the forum. They made my vehicle rattle, slower braking and acceleration.

Thank You

nlowell,

I've looked at the Black Ops CF stuff before (including the side mirror covers) and think it all looks great. Unfortunately, with the cost of the items and then having them shipped to me in Australia it would just be far too expensive. Good luck and I hope you can get this bulk order off the ground. Not only for WK2 owners but for Chad as a small business owner.

Cheers,

Clarkey.

Boomerang? Where'd that come from?

Re: Carbon Fiber Grill and Rear Boomerang

@Overlander - These aren't my daily drivers. :) I have the stock polished 20" wheels that I use on a daily basis for a smooth, comfortable drive. I put the MT/Rs on when I go camping or offroading in the desert or hills. They are definitely louder than the stock but since I don't use them but 5% of the time, I'm fine with that.

@Chad - AWESOME! I'm stoked and really appreciate this! I'll go ahead and order the non-logo cover at the same time as the grill. Can you PM/Email me and let me know how you want me to pay?

I bought the mirror covers, boomerang and rear step pad. ALL of those are orderable on his site as I JUST checked. The GRILLE is not...it shows as backordered. Not sure what the problem is...maybe a computer problem. And FWIW...I ordered this stuff like 6 months ago and paid in full. This was custom stuff. There is no conspiracy here
