11 GC 2WD good enough for snow? Open differential?

New to forums so first hello!

Just bought a 2011 GC overland with 2WD

my previous vehicle was a 2007 Lincoln Mark LT 2WD and the 2WD was very pathetic in snow, it from what I understood had open differential which made it when one wheel started slipping I wasn't going anywhere, traction control on or off didn't matter...

It made quite the horrible experience...

Now my question to you is this jeep have the same crap? I live in FL and my GC isnt going to see the snow too often but I do take it out to WV on ski trips and would like to know what I should expect.

Thank you!

It makes a difference....you should have dropped a few options to get 4wd...haha....I don't think 2wd with the stock OEM forteras will be good at all in the snow....they suck even with 4wd as I live in Northern NY...just get better tires and you should be ok...hopefully!

Take some snow cables with you on the ski trips. Install as necessary.
