factory USB

Has Anybody been able to keep the factory USB working with a aftermarket radio? I'm looking to put a AVIC-Z150bt radio in my Jeep and it came with the UCONNECT radio from the factory.. I've been able to make such work on a Tahoe but I havnt taken anything apart yet on the Jeep.. If anybody has any experience let me know

Re: factory USB

you could but you'll need to get to the Uconnect module, then find a mini USB extension cable then run it from the Uconnect module to your new radio.

In the Cherokee, it'll be up above the E-brake. Drop the bolster panel annd look up toward the left, there will be a black module about 4"x6".
