2008 WK front bumper

So there is quite a difference between the 08 WK and earlier models in regard to the front bumper. On the 07 and earlier ones, it was just a plastic piece you can remove and it looks great. I wanted to remove the 'fracia' (bottom plastic piece) off my jeep for wheelin but after looking for a while, i finally found a picture of what it looks like taken off.

It doesnt look that great, i mean it gets the job done, but this is my DD and i dont want to be rolling around in something quite that ghetto hahaha

What do you guys suggest?

Is that a diesel? And yeah I think the 2005-2007s look better with the airdam off but the 08+'s don't look that bad. Some people hate it, some love it. If it were me, I'd leave it on for DD. I leave mine off but I also have an 07. Another reason to keep it on is mpg's. I went from about 19.2 average to about 18.4 average on my CRD. So the more finished looked combined with the better gas mileage, I'd leave it on for 08+'s IMO.

I understand this is a big step up that just removing the bumper hahaha but how much does a bumper mod like this one on the 'megatron' run you?

Here's an option I was thinking of myself. I think you can still put the '08 air dam in back on for better highway mpg when you want.

Yea that actually looks quite good. I dont think you can put the air dam back on, but it still looks good, and it says it sends air under the car as the dam would so you wouldn't lose mpg like you would without having anything.

I took the lower fascia off my 08 and I think it looks way better. I will say though that unless you are lifted, dont. it looks "ghetto" like you said on that ride bc there isnt a lift on it so it looks like something fell off... with a lift and fogs installed though, the 08 without the front air dam looks more rugged in my opinion.

heres an example of someone elses... 3rd picture. http://www.jeepgarage.org/f14/08wk-mojave-1491.html

and as far as im concerned with mpg.. if i have a jeep.. and i lifted it, i dont care abt losing 1mpg with it off.

Nice ride! That does look quite good though, but yea mine is a stock hight and will be until this summer when I can start putting real work into it, and it already has fogs.

the mojave isnt mine.. but it sure is sweet.

and yea, if youre stock then dont take the lower fascia off. if you lift it though, go for it!
