Glow Plug fuses & Transmission
Hi Guys, hope you can help.
1) Noticed in main fuse box under the hood, Both glow plug fuses popped but car starts and idles fine? Why and where might the problem be?
2) My Jeep mechanic done recently diagnostic test and noticed transmission slipping, he advised to change Current Caltex ATF lube with Mopar ATF+4. Did that with a hugh costs, now noticed Diagnostic light intermittendly coming on and off while driving. Was it too late to change?
Re: Glow Plug fuses & Transmission
So you have a 2.7 CRD? Doesn´t it come with a NAG 1 transmission? If so, it doesn´t use ATF +4, but Shell 3403 ATF. Do you know the fault code(s) set for the transmission?
Regarding the glow plug fuses, they protect completely separate circuits, so it could be a coincidence that both are blown and maybe they are blown for a long time already (you are talking about fuses #6 and # 11, right?). Do you live in a warm place? Problems with the glow plugs normally pop up when its getting cold outside.
