Has anyone had problems after dealer "activated" or "initialized" new equipment??
I installed an RBZ head-unit and back-up camera. I did the radio first and everything was totally plug and play. The Bluetooth module must be separate from the radio because I didn't even have to re-sync my phone after the radio install.
A few days later I installed a backup camera. I did all the work except soldering the power wire for the new harness, because I couldn't get the stupid power outlet (cigarette lighter) out because I didn't have the special tool. Anyway, the dealer agreed to activate the camera and solder the power wire for no additional charge.
When I took it over to the dealer, everything was plugged in (except the power wire) and working, including my Bluetooth. They soldered the wire and activated the camera and everything appeared to work except my Bluetooth stopped working.
I don't think it was anything I did since it was working on the way over to the dealer, and I can't imagine that the dealer screwed anything up by simply soldering the power wire. Thus, the only thing I can conclude is that something occurred during the activation or initialization or whatever process.
I called the dealer and they said that this was "highly unlikely." The guy said he's never seen that happen.
Has anyone seen this happen where something is accidentally deactivated while something else is activated?
