My 2010 Patriot came with the usual 60,000km (37,000mi/ 3 yr bumper to bumper warranty. At almost 2 years I am at 54,000km. Not so unusual as I live in Peace River, Alberta and it's a 2 hour drive to get anywhere larger than 7,000 people. I am considering extending the warranty another 3 years/ 87,000km to bring it to 140,000km (87,000miles) for $2325 ($200 deductable).....and am looking for opinions. Do dealerships normall charge for "checking or looking for issues"?
So far nothing has needed warranty work, although I have had the dealership look into creaking from the rearend and had them remove the locking lug nuts that seized onto my wheels.
Help me debate....
