New member with a few questions on ordering a WK2

Hey guys ...

I was looking at the GC as one of my options for a new car (also considering a Wrangler Unlimited, X5 35d CPO, LR4 CPO, Ect) and had a few questions.

1) I like how the ALTITUDE edition GC look, I built one on the car config on Jeep's site and added all the options I wanted but noticed that if you add the V8 option and add the All Weather Capability Group, it forces me to remove the V8. Is this really the case or is this a issue with the online config? I know those options can be combined with the V8 on the Limited and other models.

2) How much nicer is the leather on the Overland and Overland Summit? is it really worth the extra $$$$? I like how the dash looks in the Overland Summit but its quite the jump in price for just a leather dash. Also anyone have actual photos of the Dakota Leather in black?

3) I noticed all the lift kits are for GCs without the air suspension, however I noticed that some of the air GCs on here are running 32" Wrangler setups. Is this just because you can set it the setting in off road and leave it there?

Thanks in advance for any help

1. The main benefit of the AWCG is that you get the Selec-Terrain dial / QT2. When you get the HEMI, you automatically get this. The other pieces of AWCG are tow hooks and rubber floor mats.

2. Don't know.

3. I think yes.

Just remember that you can't order any more 2013 Jeeps and they aren't sure when or if the Altitude will be out (possible name change)

On the '13s the Overland also has a leather dash.

The Summit adds other options, one being adaptive cruise control ... oh yeah, power folding mirrors and I think power tilt/tele wheel.

You cannot just set the air suspension and "leave" it there per se...

The system has speed limits for each level. Look at it this way, the higher the setting, the lower the speed limit minus the lowest setting which has a speed limit of 25mph. Forgot the limits but you can look them up. if you go over the limit, it will adjust to the previous level.

So for sure the HEMI comes with:

Quadra-Trac II® 4WD System
Selec-Terrain™ System

?

f thats the case the makes sense .... I dont really care all that much about the rest.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Are the Altitudes applicable to the Tread Lightly discount, if I was to find one on the lot optioned the way I wanted?

Yea I could careless about all the other options that come with the summit except for the leather dash ... On the config, it only shows the leather dash on the Summit, so this is for sure standard on the 2013s then?

How then are people running the Wrangler 32" tire set ups then? Just not driving on the freeway?

I'm sure 32" would fit w/rubbing if you are ok with that. I personally do not like rubbing so I'll be getting a stock set of 18" w/AT tires (stock size). I like my "park mode" lol. It makes getting in and out really nice lol.

The NAPA leather is softer and more flexible (sheepskin) than the base. The seats are more comfortable, but worth the $$ is subjective. The NAPA is perforated for cooling, dunno about the base leather.

Yes, you cannot get the HEMI with the QT1 (which does NOT have the Selec-Terrain system).
