Screw for adjusting headlights
I have a 2012 JGC Overland and headlights are aimed too high. I know there are several threads on subject already, but I can,t locate adjusting screws. Can someone give me detailed description or photo of where they are located and how to adjust them. Thanks.

Re: Screw for adjusting headlights
Are you sure they are?

It is very rare for them to actually be aimed too high and its more frequently the case that owners think they are aimed too high. Have you had a vehicle with HIDs before?

Look for a hexagon shape by the headlight. THe adjustment hole is next to it. You'll probably need a flashlight to see it.

Yes I'm sure b/c I get flashed constantly and one occasion they incited road rage in a driver I was behind who apparently thought I had my high beams on. She was so upset she pulled three brake jobs and flipped me the bird. What convinced me was the fog last p.m., I could see the driver's side beam shooting upwards. Steveo, thanks for info. I thought that might be it. I'm going to assume, unless someone tells me otherwise, that if I turn it to the left it lowers the beam and to the right raises it. Thanks again, hopefully it will save me a trip to dealer.

Pull up in front of a wall with the lights on you can then determine which way to turn the screw and make it the same as the other one.

Think Outside !- No Box Required.

Re: Screw for adjusting headlights
So the adjustment screw on the 2012 laredo headlights adjust the headlight up and down? And there is no left to right adjustment?

Re: Screw for adjusting headlights
One thing I've learned with road rage incidents like that...actually turn ON the high beams, and watch them sheepishly retreat.

If they don't...well, with your brights on, you have a great view of their tag number while you call it in to the local LEO's.
