2014 Export Model

I have been keeping tabs on the 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features and Changes thread ans I am sure many of you have but there seems to be very little info about what is happening with the export models.

In the past models I have noticed that the export models tend to have slightly different standard inclusions for the different models.

If anyone has any insight regarding specs, pricing, eta etc then please share it here.

Personally I am in Australia and looking at getting a Overland in Brilliant Black, possibly with the Brown/Indigo interior but I havent seen a decent photo yet so please share if you have one.

Thanks fix69er, as the Detroit Motor Show opened yesterday there are plenty of better picks floating around ;) Even the Jeep page has the new model up but unfortunately no details on the export.

Re: 2014 Export Model

I think the way it works is that when the new model is released, Jeep Aust tend to agree what models will be released in Australia and what configeration they will have.
Dont think that a Overland in USA will be the same as an Overland here. Whether they will release the Summit here, or simply load up an Overland to match is unknown. You will just have to wait and see what is released for export, what colours, and what pricing. I dont think you will see anything for at least a few months. My guess is that the MY14 will begin to appear in the USA dealerships near end Feb/Mar and then in Aust by mid year or start of 3rd Qtr.

You may be right but I hope not, if that were the case though it would me Jeep Aus would have no GC's to sell for the next 6mths as the '13 models ceased production a while ago...

I must have missed that, seems strange to continue the old model while starting a new model...

bugger, oh well...

Was just saying that the ones that were still being produced were for Australia not that they are extending production. 2013 WK2 production ends Thursday night January 17 2013 if they hit their numbers and 2014 production begins Friday morning according to Chevyboy

Re: 2014 Export Model

I rang a dealer that I think is reasonably informed with regards to the MY14. He was very straight up, knew straight away about the '14, didn't try and BS me. Said he had 5 or so calls already about the '14 and this was on Monday and wa based on the news article that had broken in Australia that had the leaked launch shots.

The gist was, come see him in late March/early April when he believes that Jeep Australia will have the export models finalised. From there he said it would be the 3rd quarter of the year or early 4th quarter by the time you/they will take delivery.
