General Grabber AT2 17" on WK

First proper "high mileage" (281) day on the new AT2's today and all I can report is

WOW!!

Road noise = No more than previous Goodyear Wrangler HP AW
Ride Quality = Much improved, less road shock gets through
Grip = In the wet cold and 0 degrees UK it was first class
Looks = Like they should be standard
Fit = 255/65R17H needed no mods to fit
MPG = may have knocked off 1 mpg, will report over longer time

How can this AT tire be this good?

Not had any appreciable snow yet, that will fall tonight and tomorrow so will let you know

All I can say is I am amazed by the road manners of this tyre

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Ditto to my experience with these tires. They are great in snow too and even some fairly sticky mud I've encountered on my land upstate.

DAYUMMM! I did a little snowy off-roading today on my land in upstate NY. There was about 4 to 5" of snow with an icy crust over it. There's a pretty steep hill just after you get into the land and I took it in 1st gear, high range. I just gave it enough gas to keep foward progress. These tires just grab and go! The 4WD system works great too but there's no way the stock tires would have gotten me even half way up this hill. Amazing!
I know, before you all kick my ass for no pics, I forgot my damn camera at home! I want to get up there again before it melts too much and I promise I'll get some pics then.

hi all, after lurking for a while, this is my first post, came accross this site whilst searching for a suitable AT tyre for my 2006 WK CRD Limited. Thanks to terrific help and advice from nav18tor, I'm now shod with the same 255/65/17 grabber at2. I live in the Scottish Highlands and we're having quite the winter - see image for our local hill road a week ago, things have settled down a bit since then but a foot of fresh on it's way tonight!

I had to shop around a bit to get my hands on these babies at a good price. The fitting centre were a little nervous about the clearence from that suspension bolt on the front but they do fit - it is definitely close though. Barring a major deflection by the wheel on serious off-road (not generally me), then i'm sure it'll be fine, though I must admit I'm tempted shorten up the bolt - anyone done this? if so how? powered or brute force?!

Will get a pic or two up soon, in meantime, thanks again to nav18tor for the advice
:thumbsup:
