U Connect - partially functional!

2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited - 5.7

System will not save information. Home address has been entered in several ways ... shut off engine ... return later ... no home address ... can never guide me home.

Also, enter phone book items manually ... voice prompts are okay ... shut engine off ... return later ... no phone book entries.

Dealer updated software ... no change
Android RAZR phone not on compatibility list ... so no downloadable phone book available.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Dusty

Here is a copy of my system info. Dealer updated it to this and still no fix.

Radio and music are okay. Phone works through speaker system and U Connect.

Still addresses and phone book are entered and all looks good ... but they are never saved. When entering Home Address all is okay and system reports that it has been saved ... has not been saved.

Dealer says new radio = $900!!!

Looking for alternatives here.

Thanks, Dusty

Just an idea...I read on an android forum
http://androidforums.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=3271462

It says you have to "allow phonebook access" when you connect the bluetooth. You may have to delete the pairing info and start over to see that option.

Think Outside !- No Box Required.
