Startup Heat with CRD
Does anyone know if the CRD will be able to produce any heat from a cold startup?
My VW TDI has an electric booster heater that allows a little bit of warm air to heat up the windshield to get me going in the morning, but I don't see anything like that listed for the JGC. I'd like to be able to hit the remote start and come out to a (at least slightly) warm windshield to get the fog off.
Not a huge deal as my Dodge 2500 diesel didn't have it either and I survived, but that thing would take four or five miles to get any heat built up at all. My wife has claimed the driveway as hers, or else I'd default to the block heater on a timer.
Re: Startup Heat with CRD
the WK with the CRD has an axillary interior heater that operates automatically depending on temperature.
the Aussies have had the WK2 with the CRD for a while now, maybe post this question in the diesel section if you don't get any responses here.
