2013 Overland Price - Good Deal?

Hello from Texas! My name is Matthew and i am currently trying to buy my wife a 2013 Grand Cherokee Overland and am trying to find out if it is a good deal. I have never bought a Jeep product so I am unsure of how much markup is in them.

Sticker Price - $44,305
Price Quote - $40, 260

Discount of $4,045

They offered pretty much what i figured they would offer on her tahoe and i got them to come up $1,000. They actually seems like a no BS kinda place and said that was all they could do, period.

You have to take depreciation into account as the 2014 models will be coming out and then your car is 1 yr behind. Use Edmunds.com or something to find out what invoice is (or wk2jeeps.com) and see where it lands. Atleast $2k under invoice I would think

No that's not a good deal.... I have already negotiated $1500 under invoice with no dealer fees on a brand new 2014. If I applied that to your situation, the price would be about $40,150 total with all fees. On a 2013, I would think you could get at least $2,000-3,000 below that, plus the $1500 rebate that I believe is currently available (make sure you are using this!!). I would think a good price would be around $38,000 with all rebates and fees included.

Keep shopping around. And keep in mind it's nearing the end of the month, so the closer you get to the 31st, the better deal they are willing to take. Just email 3 or 4 different dealers and start having them fight it out. As the end of the month comes, I bet you can get to the $38k figure. And remember to tell them you know the 2014's are coming at the end of February!

Im in houston tx and the jeep website is only showing $500 rebate here. I see on the shopping tools that there is a $1500 v-8 rebate, but there is no way to print it off.

Update: V-8 Incentive Excludes Overland, Overland Summit, and SRT 8

Yea i told them that the 2014's are coming out and i was worried about resale on 13 since the 14's were so close.

Is that price quote your out the door price, or before tax, tax, title, etc.? Is yours 4x4?

No idea how it helps you, because the location is very different (Atlanta) and the car may be equipped with different options, but on January 4th I bought my 2013 Overland 4x2 V8 for $36,990 and I was out the door under $40,000.00.

Price quote is before tax and fees. OTD with tax, fees, and without trade in would be $43,1xx

Called Jeep just to be sure and they told me there was only $500 rebates for my area at this time. To me that is crazy with the 14's coming out soon! Guess they are selling good in Houston.

I can't remember now, I'll get you that info when I get home if i can find it.

Its pretty much a basic Overland though, no adaptive cruise, no DVD package, no chrome packages or anything like that. Just a brilliant black with light frost interior.
