c.v clicking

so im up here in mass and its been -5 to -10 at night and low teens in the day,i just started it up after two days of this cold and i was pulling out into the main rd and heard what i thought to be a bad cv joint and im like wtf,my jeep only has 65k on it and really not driven hard,i really only drive it on the weekends,so i took it around the block and its doing it on right and left turn so now im really confused, are both bad just like that or is the grease frozen, just the cold maybe?my buddy had a jk and his drag link is clicking and he brought it into the garage and got it warm and it just stopped, any help for this

When was the last time your axle fluids were changed? Do you know if you have the friction modifier in there (if required).

If the fluid is old and/or there is not the correct amount of friction modifier I could see this presenting a problem in the cold.

The one time I had a dealership do my diff service, they forgot to add the friction modifier and when really cold you could hear the differential chatter. When I put the modifier in, it went away.

Sounds like the same thing that has happened to me the past few days. Goes away after a couple miles. Can't figure it out for he life of me. Sounds like the tire rubbing on fender liner but I know that's not the problem. Then I wondered if something was frozen in the exhaust because i was hearing it when I accelerate and it goes away when the jeep is warmed up. I am baffled too.
