standing water`
so i wake up this morning and go to my jeep wich is finally running and i find about 1 inch of standing water in the passenger side on the floor board...this is the only place that is wet so i use 3 towels and try to soak up the water but to no avail. there is still at least a half gallon of water there. so my question is where did it come from? the condensor, the heater core, i cant figure it out and since ive been so busy doing impounds and car accidents in san diego i have not had time to look. i will be looking tomorrow. but i was hoping someone oin here could help out.

Re: standing water`
so the vehicle sat for a long time without you driving it? i would think if it was coolant it would be obvious as it has a green color. has it rained much while it was sitting? the leaking while raining sounds like the most likely possibility

Re: standing water`
Well it has been raining for the last 36 hours in san diego so maybe that but i cant find where it is leaking from. Since it is only on the passenger side and there is only water on the floor no where else. It has only sat since the 25th at 8pm

Do you have the moonroof?

It's not uncommon for the drain tubes to clog, and then from water to enter through the passenger or driver A-Pillar.

You should certainly be able to tell if it is coolant, as mentioned before...though it should be orange not green if you are using the correct HOAT stuff.

The windshield seal could also leak and result in water in that area, though this is far less common than the moonroof.

Re: standing water`
i think it is rain water cause when i was out in el centro a month ago with my girl we were at a gas station and we were having 50-55 mph wind gusts and she opened the door and the wind took it from her and bent the hinges. Not bad but enough that when ur driving you can hear the air rushing thru. So im thinking that is what it is.
