lift/tire question

ok if i put on a Rock Krawler 3.5" lift can i fit BF GOODRICH KM2's or GOODYEAR WRANGLER MT w/ KEVLAR on my stock 17 inch rims or do i need a higher lift? i believe the RK 3.5" lift has a 2" lift in the back. if so im gonna do it in march im getting a custom prerunner front bumper from CARO FAB WERX in Heber in the next 3 weeks then the lift and tires so im hoping it will work. THANK YOU

Re: lift/tire question

as long as its a 265-285 shouldn't be an issue. If you are running factory wheels you will have to run 1.25-1.5in spacers.

i'm running 255/75/17 on jeep moab rims with a 2" rough country kit and wheel spacers. no rubbing issues.

Re: lift/tire question

You'll eventrually want to do the PW mod to avoid rubbing at full lock.

I rubbed my pinch weld every time i was at 3/4 - full lock. Im running an RC lift, 1.25" spacers and JK moabs with 265/70/17's.

Re: lift/tire question

The RK will not net you 3.5 inches. To be 100% honest the RK is a POS. Go with any other BB (RRO, RC,) before you buy the RK.

With the RK lift, you'll only be able to fit a 265 without major rubbing. To be honest with you, based on my experience with the kit for the last 2 years it's a waste of money to buy it new. Put a little bit more money into the OME HD kit and do it right the first time. Then you can fit 285's
