Jeep SRT8 Core edition
Chrysler have revealed the 300C and Challenger SRTs Core editions.

Basically they are the same cars but with cloth seats and without Navigation screen and as per Motor Trend, the adaptive suspenssion will be replaced in favor of a less expenssive one.
Because of these deletions, they are around $4k cheaper.

My question is, are they (Jeep) going to do the same thing with the Jeep Core edition?

Re: Jeep SRT8 Core edition
That means the Jeep should start at $58995

Re: Jeep SRT8 Core edition
Leather (Heated and Cooled seats), Magnetic Suspension, 8.4 inch screen (Nav as well as "Performance Pages"), and the 7 inch customizable TFT screen, and all of the Lux II items are worth more than $4k...

These additions have other additions to them. Therefore, it should be cheaper by a bunch, not just $4k...

Re: Jeep SRT8 Core edition
This is sort of what they did with the new Super Bee SRT8 Charger.

Not a fan of spending that kind of money for what amounts to a base model vehicle with a different engine and some mods.

Re: Jeep SRT8 Core edition
I have to agree. A lowered base laredo with a 6.4L and AWD, what a shame... $59k, laughable.

Re: Jeep SRT8 Core edition
If someone is buying a vehicle that costs as much as the Jeep SRT8, then $4k should not be a deal breaker.

Completely idiotic marketing approach. Anyone who buys these are crazy. The 300s at the SRT Experience didn't have the Luxury package with leather stuff/etc., and I found the base interior to be appalling for what you're paying for the 300 SRT already. (probably why they aren't selling well, along with the Charger that was the same sad way).

Re: Jeep SRT8 Core edition
well, the Jeep is the most expenssive between the other SRTs so it may come $6k cheaper or around $57k

Re: Jeep SRT8 Core edition
I don't believe you will see a Jeep "Core" edition any time soon, at least not until sales and demand taper off, which may or may not happen anytime during the 2014 model year.

Re: Jeep SRT8 Core edition
If they do it to offset costs a bit and lower the price of real SRT's, that would be great...
