Disable Seatbelt alert in EVIC
I want to disable the alert in the EVIC that alerts "Driver seatbelt unbuckled". I saw on a dodge forum that one person un-hooked the seat belt clip under the seat then plugged in a female spade connector to trick the system that it was buckled and no more EVIC seat belt alert. Has anyone tried this before? I believe the clip for the seatbelt is under neath the seat at the back of the seat almost directly underneath the back support of the seat. I can take a pic in the morning. Does anyone know if this is the correct clip? Any help would be appreciated. The link is the how to from the dodge forum.

And please lets not turn this into a "why wouldn't you wear a seat belt" or "just wear your seatbelt" discussion. Let's stay on topic. Please no hijacking.
Don't agree with it, but I've voiced my opinion plenty. Here's your answer: http://www.jeepgarage.org/f163/seat-...rt8-40585.html
Try using the forum's search bar, it works wonders.
Thank you for respecting my wishes I appreciate that.
I'm not looking to turn off the chime, I've already done that with the seatbelt trick described in the user manual.
I want to turn off the reminder in the EVIC that flashes "Driver Seatbelt Unbuckled". I took it to a dealership to see if it was something they could turn off, they hooked it up to the scan tool but they couldn't find an option to turn it off.
I didn't know if anyone had tried the spade connector described in the other forum.
Ah, right. I know of people who've just plugged in a spare seat belt buckle. Otherwise I can't help. Good luck.
