Double Din Install - PLEASE HELP
I am new to the Jeep world, but am glad to be here!
I just bought a 2010 Laredo and want to install a double din unit that I already have.
The jeep is the non nav version and has the Boston Acoustics system.
I have a Kenwood DNX-8990 unit from my previous vehicle that I would like to install.
I have searched the forums and can't find clear answers, so hopefully this will help more than just me.
1. Do I have to have a bezel from a model that came with navigation?
(When I called the shop, they said that they could install it with the Metra kit and did not need this)
2. Is the Metra kit the only dash kit available?
(I have heard that it's not the cleanest of installs)
3. What else do I need for the install?
(I would like for my steering wheel controls and factory amp to still work!)
4. Can anyone post pics with their double din installed?
I would like to thank everyone in advance!
Sorry for the noob questions!
I just want a clean install.

2010 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE - stereo parts installation photos charts and install wires
that should give you all the info you need.
Scosche CR1291B is the metra equivalent of the same dash kit, nicer fit and finish in my experience.
C2R-CHY4 is the harness i would get
Metra 40-eu10 for the antenna adapter
Pac SWI-Jack will be the steering wheel control interface.
Should be all the info you need.
shop around for the best prices on the parts as well, typically i've found amazon to be the best place.
