J.D. Power dependability results

J.D. Power & Associates weren't kind to Jeep in their latest findings:

"Lexus, Porsche, Lincoln and Toyota owners reported the fewest problems, while Jeep, Mitsubishi, Dodge and Land Rover owners had the most."

I believe this was posted before. These are comparing 2010 models, so the older WK vehicle. Things have changed since then, just ask Chevyboy and Marlon.

Exactly- no secret that the 2010 & older year models had reliability issues.

How does Ram rate so much higher? Is it because their owners are in love with their horses that they don't bother to take the truck back for warranty work??

Probably because a large proportion of pickups are used for work and lack the complex electronics that consumers demand.

I was trying to make a reference to the Ram Super Bowl add... Albeit a poor reference.

I do agree, P/u buyers are probably statistically less likely to complain

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram only has 70000 miles on it have only had it in for maintenance. Zero nada zip issues with it.

I just talked to a close friend with a 2010 Laredo with 42,000 miles and only issue so far was a crack in the right front wheel well a while ago that was repaired under warranty. He says it has been super dependable.

How many of these people complain about menial issues? A rattle, take it in... something seems off, take it in. Many people complain about VR which is easy to use if done so properly, so I don't really take stock into these reports.

This is a 2013 report, but they are using a almost 4 model year old Jeep? Huh? Sorry I didn't read any of the articles, but where does it say 2010? Just doesn't make much sense to me. So technically this report is 3 years old....so what does this have to do with the WK2's?
