More Mods for 4.7

soi have done a ton of things and just about everything i could think of doing to the 4.7. i have the exhaust superchips intake and throttle body spacer. i enjoy the outcomes from all of those. but i want more. is there anything else i could do to get more out of the jeep. i been thinking about a 85mm throttle body. but not really sure what more gains i will get out of it. if u have any info on it or have any ideas for me thanks in advance !!

Look at the guys at AIRRAM.com, they have a killer intake manifold you'll like and may want also to consider replacing your hydraulic rocker lash adjusters (lifters) for the solid type they carry, you won't regret it! I did that with my Ram1500 4.7 and it was an earth to sky difference.

i have been there but wasnt sure about it cause it says it for the 4.7 but doesnt say that they r for my wk. everything on there for all 4.7 engines. a lot of it says they r for the dakota just a little skeptical about it

Don't be! Try the lifters for I tout throttle response and hard revving!

I'll have to get on there and see if I can find them. I'm kinda new and learning about different engine compents. But I'll look on there. U know anything about a 85mm throttle body?

Re: More Mods for 4.7

lose the spacer and get a throttle body- those things are useless. i too have a magnaflow exhaust, fastman throttle body, and superchips. i had an AFE and lost some lowend torque so i went back to the stock airbox with a free-flow filter. i also have the airram powerwire. i have a sonnax for the tranny to install, just havent gotten around to it.

ive been wondering if theres anything that can be done as far as upgrading the injectors on these things? i mean you have a 2007, you could swap to the 08+ heads and manifold and cams... to get around 300+hp.

So ur saying swap my heads for 2008 wk head cams and manifold and that will do that much more. I have the spacer only for the whistle noise. I have ricers and a bunch of other cars rev at me and want to race cause they think I got a turbo. But I'm think of going with a new throttle body. Keeping the intake cause I love the engine noise I get out of it lol

Yea cams, heads and manifold will be the best bang for your buck.

The 4.7 in the WK is a poor platform, no real tuning solutions (as SCT nor Diablo supports them) and Superchips is only for a stock truck.

Earlier HO Cams are a good mod, even without 08 intake.

Re: More Mods for 4.7

I have got to admit.. this thread scares the hell out of me.... haha.. I just bought an 07 WK 4.7 but I had No Other Choice.. the bank only approved X amount of money.. and I couldn't find a HEMI anywhere and I needed out of the deathtrap/moneytrap/hunk of crap '05 WK 3.7 I had bought a couple months prior. So I knew the 4.7 would at least give me more power but then I READ THIS !! I am all sketched out.. :-/ ..Too make matters worse.. I just bought the aFe stage 2 intake .. ahh not good.. not good at all :-/
