Want JK and to lift it and I know NOTHING

I am in the market about to buy a 4 door JK and hope to get a decent used one. I plan to put a lift on it and use it as a beach car with some offroad stuff in the mountains in the fall/spring. I have no idea about lift kits, tire sizes etc. I know that I like the look of 35's, but that is about it. I liove in an area where I will do lots of beack driving, but I will also spend about 75% of my time on the roads. Thinking skid plates etc for when I go up north. Anybody have any suggestions for this rookie? THANKS!!!!

Here is a nice kit that will give 37" plus will allow for you to clean between the body and the frame . This will be important in a beach environment( salty)

It has coil spacers and a body lift plus longer shocks for $500

My advice would be to set a budget first and then look for a kit that will suit your needs.

getting 35s under a JK is pretty easy.

for the money and easy of instal the Old Man Emu 2.5" lift springs and matching shocks give you a great ride on and off road without all the headache of lifting higher.

Terra Flex, ProComp, Rancho, Rock Krawler, Poly Performance's Synergy line, Rough Country, Metal Cloak, Rokmen, Rustys, Clayton, Currie

There are too many options. I'd stick with no more than a 2.5" lift for 35s.

personally I lifted 4" to run 40s and I'm bringing mine down... there is way more room in my fender wells than 40s need.

Stay away from the daystar stuff. Get a quality lift. Like the Rock Krawler stock mod. Teraflex 2.5" lift is also a good one. I ran a Teraflex 3" LCG longarm with 37" MT/R Kevlars. You can easily run 35" tires on 2.5" of lift.
