Is it possible to update radio software on 2010 WK?
I have a 2010 Grand Cherokee with the 6.5" touch screen radio w/o Nav(Media 430 CD/DVD/HDD) The operation of this radio is brutal. Is there any firmware updates that can be loaded somehow?

Using the HDD is an exercise in futility. It takes a slew of button presses to get all songs playing in random order and sadly, it doesn't remember what it was doing when I re start the vehicle and I have to do it all over again. And upon vehicle re starts, it normally won't see my songs and I have to go pushing buttons to get it to recognize my media and do all those button presses again to get back to all songs playing randomly.

The SAT and FM operation is clunky, not that intuitive, and it too seems to not remember where it was upon a vehicle restart. (ie: a different station will be on)

Re: Is it possible to update radio software on 2010 WK?
So I spent some time lookin around the internet and it seems I have a REN model radio. (although that isn't supposed to have Uconnect and I do) but since my Sys Info page lists Application 9.292 and that cross referenced with REN I figure thats what I got. 9.292 is also listed as the latest firmware application for my radio.
I did read about others having similar quirks so I suppose it's my head uinit itself.
Guess I have to live with it and if she craps the bed all together, maybe find a Nav unit model on Ebay!

Re: Is it possible to update radio software on 2010 WK?
re visiting this as I've cancelled my Satelite radio subscription...

since I have the 9.292 latest firmware, anyone think reloading firmware will help with having the radio remember where it was when turned off?

current scenario is upon rentering the vehicle the browse menus are empty unless I force the unit to start the cd player, then go back to HDD. I then have access but have to re select random in settings to be "back where I was" when I turned off the vehicle.
