Pioneer AVH 8400 (8450) multimedia head unit installation

Want to replace my 430N with the new Pioneer AVH 8400 double din head unit.
anybody knows what other accessories should I need to purchase in order to get a full functionality with the steering wheel contols, and with my aftermarket speakers and amps. Somebody have told me there is a Pac adpater unit module to go with my amps and speakers and some harness I should get to connect with the wheel
Please shed more light on this issue.

You'll need the PAC RP4-CH11 to interface the radio with the Jeep harness. This adapter will also keep steering wheel controls.

Be advised that you'll lose UConnect by going with an aftermarket headunit.

With regards to your aftermarket amps, use the preouts on the Pioneer headunit.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I've changed out the headunit, speakers and installed an aftermarket amp on my WK2.

Greetings,

Very shortly the new AVH-8500 is going to be released. There is going to be some improvements that Pioneer is fixing. The 2 key elements are going to be in the new 8500 is the Sirius XM Tuner SXV200 that is the new standard. And the remote navi unit has been replaced with a modern interface which they could be using IGO Primo just like Alpine is currently using.

You might what to follow this particular forum:

I am currently thinking for using a Pioneer AVH unit with a tablet integrated into the system.

Best for now.:)
