Rumor has it the press embargo lifts on the 25th, so I expect a flood of magazine reviews shortly. That being said, there are a couple units "in the wild" that people here have posted about... :D

Re: 2014 Test Drive Reviews

Just got back from test driving a '14 Limited V6. I have driven both the V6 and hemi '13 over the same road course, and here are my thoughts. Driving the '13 V6 and hemi was of course different in many respects. Most notably passing acceleration. Although the V6 did well, I could tell it was working rather hard, and the engine was revving quite high and was somewhat straining when I punched it at 50-60 mph. The hemi wasn't even breathing heavy doing the same thing. At more city driving speeds the V6 steering felt more responsive, and handled better in cornering.
Now to the '14 V6 with the 8 speed tranny. I must say it's almost a quantum difference. Handling was at least as good if not better than the '13 V6, and acceleration at highway speeds was effortless and smooth. Peppy just doesn't adequately describe how it feels. In snow mode the tranny starts in second gear from a dead stop for a very good reason. When I pulled out of the parking space in the dealer lot it practically jumped like a rabbit. I had to adjust take offs to accommodate the quick acceleration from a standstill. The entire feel of driving felt much smoother and more responsive than the '13. Also the interior was more comfortable and even noticeably quieter. I was really thinking of buying a '13 off the lot a month ago, when, much to my salesman's dismay, the sales manager talked me into waiting to drive a '14. Before I left the dealership today I ordered and put a down payment on a '14 Overland. That should give you an idea of how impressed I was.

In one of those articles they said they averages 25 MPG with the diesel and 15.6 mpg with the v6...

if so...thats a huge difference and justifies the price premium.

Its not just 3mpg
