exactly..that's why I went Overland Billet Silver/Indigo and to avoid those blingy Summit 20" wheels. Also Jeep Brown interior on the Summit, from the pictures at least, looked like diarrhea coloring, imo. But every taste is different.
Ordered a billet silver Overland w/ORA II yesterday. I captured this from a video (Limited w/ ORA II 18" wheels) Color is probably lighter than normal because of lighting.
Glad im not the only one that thinks that! The truck on that ad is exactly what I wanted but now that i see the trim on the interior I am going to have to pass. My second choice was the brown/indigo blue interior in a true blue or maximum steel, so that is what I am going to be looking at. Oh jeep, why couldnt you just keep the sliver trim on the black interior
That interior trim is actually called "brushed copper" by Jeep. The pictures, for the most part, tend to exaggerate the hue. In person it looks much better, IMHO. But color is definitely a very subjective thing.
Picture of Billet Silver GC? You'll have to wait. This color is no available until mid-March (check the sticky thread about ordering information). You can google for pictures of it on a Wrangler.
Most Billet pics are coming from the Auto Shows as they have one there they're traveling with but generally it's so lit up with white lighting it's hard to determine how it looks in reality. I feel the Billet Silver SRT pic floating around is probably pretty accurate.
It looks a little bit lighter than the 2011 charcoal but its hard to tell by pics. 2 of my fav colors were charcoal and blackberry and then replaced with max steal and true blue after the 2011 model year. Those, although similar, I didn't care for as much.
Why on earth did they make the bottom trim a different shade of grey? I might have to bite the bullet and get it resprayed to match. Looks ridiculous, I'm really disappointed.
^^^ their talking about the Summit. The Summit does infact have a different color lower side panels which are more like a silver color. I agree with them it would look better paint matched to the rest. Which is just another reason I wouldnt buy a Summit anyway ;-) That Overland looks AMAZING though!
These pictures just convinced me hands down that Granite would be the color I would get on a non-Summit Overland!! awesome!
I originally thought that as well but now im not so sure. Reason being is the dark charcoal in a lot of lighting conditions it just look totally black. In all the pictures I have seen of Granite so far its not as dark and clearly looks like a dark gray all the time. I liked the original dark charcoal, but what steered me away from it was that it was just soooo dark. Jeep had several colors that were too dark that they all looked black half the time. Blackberry, Dark charcoal, Black forest green etc etc
Haven't found any yet, except the export SRT in the top of this thread.
While Billet Silver is available as of March 13th, the Jeep build site as of today still does not show it as a color option.
Anybody.....Is there a 2014 JGC Silver Billet in the house ?
