Shock Replacement on Overland Hemi
I have a 2011 Overland Hemi with air suspension (mistake) and around 35k mi. Normally OEM shocks on heavy suvs loose there dampening by this point. The air suspension (air springs) sort of hide the shock decline as compared to springs.
at speed I can feel the vehicle pogo over expansion joints but at a dead stop its hard to get it to bounce up and down by pressing the bumper down by hand. (old fail safe test).
At what point do you recommend replacing the shocks? Does anyone know how much they run?
Re: Shock Replacement on Overland Hemi
The front shocks appear to be integrated with the air bag, you have to buy the entire air bag spring assembly. There rears are separate and appear to be the same construction as other WK2s with slightly different damping.
The front assembly has an MSRP of ~$1200 and a discount price ~$800
The rear shock has a MSRP ~$90 and a discount price of ~$65
