"Next Generation" LEDs (Taillights) from V-Leds

Hi there, does anyone have any experience with this supposedly next generation LEDs: V3 TRITON RED LED BRAKE LIGHT TURN SIGNAL SYSTEM | 1 PAIR

I have the Taillightsolutions LED kit with their custom harness and resistors and even though it's pretty bright, I wouldn't mind a little upgrade since I do a lot of stop and go night driving. I also want to keep their originals as spare in case one goes bad. Their kit is over a year now and still running flawlessly (knock on wood). I have a 2011 model, this is not related at all to the new model.

Here are the specs:

Extended Description: V3 TRITON RED MULTI-APPLICATION HIGH POWER LED BRAKE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SYSTEM 7440 7443 1156 1157 3156 3157

The gentleman from taillight solutions confirmed by email these are really good and work with their kit. Just wanted to post my findings in case anyone is doing a similar research.

These would be nice for front turn signals on the WK2

If you wish to use them in the rear tail/brake/turn light position (outboard), you will need to also order their ballast resistor kit ($20 for pair last I saw) otherwise you will experience the 'fast flash' issue with your turn signals, as the LEDs do not consume enough power to prevent the 'fast flash' condition.

They would work well in the tail gate (inboard) position as that is only a tail/marker light function.

Yes, I already have LEDS with resistors. I'll post a follow up after I update.

I have these in my reverse and in my parking/turn lights on my WK2. I have the V3, just received them this week.

They are very bright and the included module does add a load so you do not get hyper flashing. When I mention, "very bright", these are the brightest LED I have seen on the road.

I had an issue where one bulb would not light up white (parking), amber turning is fine.

I still haven't looked at it. Maybe one of the pins isn't touching or it needs a little dielectric grease. Be warned that the 744x adapters do not fit tightly into the factory harness. (Might have something to do with my white light not coming on...)

I would like to see these demonstrated on a 2014 wk2...

Like shown below! I used Rescue Tape and wrapped the adapter to the outlet..
