Cleaning the Rear QuadraiLift Bellows
I noticed the following TSB has just been posted:
17-004-13 CLEANING OF REAR AIR SUSPENSION AT EVERY ENGINE OIL CHANGE (Russian Market Only) http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_1700413.pdf
At first I thought those Russians must be mighty messy with their oil changes so I checked it out. It seems they have a real issue with freezing mud and crap building up around the rear bellows. OK, we don't have freezing mud but it wouldn't hurt for us to check up there now and again for gibbers and sticks jammed between the bellows and the body.
BTW, someone should tell Chrysler that Russians don't speak English? :)
Re: Cleaning the Rear QuadraiLift Bellows
I agree. I would think if mud can get up there, road sand can too, which could be destroying the rubber over time. I wonder if the local dealer would do it for the time cost specified in the TSB. Sand gets everywhere where I live, salt too. If this starts to fail these bellows, it will be time to trade mine in. Unless you can follow the TSB too, it seems pojntless to try to get down in there.
