2014 Audio Impressions... Any out there?

Curious if anyone has had a chance to listen to the stereo in the Overland and compare it to the upgraded one standard in the Summit? If so, is it a noticeable difference? Is it mostly more bass that the Summit system offers?

I tried to test it in the Overland but I was with the wife. She didn't like me turning it to the hard rock channels and trying to turn it up! :banghead:

How can you go wrong with 19 speakers in the Summit?! :w00t:

my girlfriend just asked me "Why didn't she leave the truck and let him crank it?"

I'm interested in hearing about this too. Audio quality is super important to me.

The Overland stereo is phenomanal in my opion vs my 2011. It's super clean and I have to adjust the bass to a negative number. I think maybe the biggest benefit now is the new 8.4 pushing it.

What about using an sd card for music. I'm curious about controls and use for that.

I tried both the 2014 Overland and the 2014 Summit and had them cranked. Both are great but the Summit is better. Both have excellent bass but the Summit has more. You can't go wrong with either.

Here is a link to the features of the various 2014 radios http://www.wk2jeeps.com/wk2_radios_2014.htm I thought all of the content on any new radios now had content for the combined SiriusXM company.

I am very interested in this as well. My first test I didn't notice too much difference, at least not $2000 worth. Since I have another month to decide with the CRD delay, I will go try again soon with some pre-selected music on my iphone.

Also, is there a listing of the file formats for music that can be put on the SD card?

What is the typical range for an HD radio station? I have one close by and a few about 50 miles away. Should I even bother?
