i POD connection thru glove box. what am i missing here?
 
yeah so i went to finally plug my ipod into the whips glove box connection but when i went to click the two ends together- it hits me. im missing a adapter or something here. i took pics of what i have. can someone tell me what piece im missing. i have the 2010 SRT8 navi/backup etc radio.

i looked in my booklet (navigtion) but then it told me to look in my car manual for it. problem is my jeep is lacking the manual. phucking eh right?

Mine just plugs in it's controled throught the GPS screen and I leave the iPod in the glove box.

You are not missing shit. Take the red cap off the connector and everything should be straight forward from there. I too was like WTF I have two female end connectors, then I figured it out. LOL

I can't get a picture right now, but I can later... but when I got my aftermarket radio installed, the iPod cable was something I had to purchase separately (about $40) and they installed it. It plugs into the back of the aftermarket and runs through the glovebox. I'm not sure if you need the same thing or not...

did yours come attached tot he back of the glove box like mine is pictured? if i tug on that connector attached will it mesh anything up? i see a lil bit of it anchored to the back of the glove box.....

Yeah mine was connected to the top of the glove box, I ripped it out, no harm done. :)

LOL glad you got it figured out... you'll love having it in the glove box IMO. I didn't think I would, but it's easy to control through my head unit (alpine) and the ipod is out of sight and constantly charged.

I'd rather it in the center console. I really wish I could put a dock behind the shifter bezel....
