HELP!! Stalling/ No Start issue

My girls 02 grand cherokeehttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png just had a buncha work done to it new headlights powerhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png steering lines coolant leak new spark plugs, i think some other stuff too. But lately she told me shes been stallin out at stop lights. and just a day or two later she stalled out while driving through the neighborhood. So i really started lookin into it. Im a Fordhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/lb_icon1.png diesel guy so i like workin on my stuff but i dont know her little jeep. So i took it up to advanced to scan it and i got Camshaft position sensor code and two Evap system codes Big and Small. So i put a new camshaft sensor in and it fired up and ran for a day.. then she told me it stalled out again! Im thinkin its the dang fuel filter! It cranks and cranks but no start. Would Evap system leak cause this NO START condition?? Someone please help! thanks

crank position sensor on top of the bell housing. Mine did the same thing replaced after I had my jeep towed home hasn't had a problem since, make sure to remove all of the old stuff. Else it will cause issues.

Did you check if the camsensor code came back? You could check it yourself using the keydance ( ignition switch off/ on 3 times and leave in on at third time. Odometer will show the fault codes. You will have to reset them first to be sure you get the actual codes only. Was an oem sensor used? Non oem are known to give strange problems.

Re: HELP!! Stalling/ No Start issue

Havent checked to se if camshaft code is still there, it finally dies in the driveway like two days after i first scanned it while it was still running. First it was hard to start (long crank) Then it started randomly stalling out Now it wont start at all. I gotta try the odometer trick see what its readin. I appreciate that tip. I can read alot of gauges in my truck like that too its pretty cool. Different key sequence tho.
I heard the crankshaft sensor doesnt necessarily throw a DTC when its bad. But i heard the Cam and Crank pos. sensors go bad at the same time. I tried gettin to that crank sensor on the bell housing and its pretty trick. Is it the one with the pigtail harness? Any tips?? Thanks

Being the crank sensor on the bell housing, we must be talking about the 4.0.
No experience on that one, only a picture from the manual with the position.

Re: HELP!! Stalling/ No Start issue

I just went through HELL with my WJ 4.0. I put a new coil rail on it and new plugs because of missing and stalling issues. I was ready to try a crank sensor and TPS until I figured out that the wiring harness that wraps around the back of the valve cover had a head stud that wore through the middle of it like a drill bit. There was a design flaw in the 4.0 where they laid the harness for the injectors right on top of a stud. The stud eventually wears right through the covering and shorts out various wires, giving you all kind of weird problems and codes. Check that first. Pull it up and put a rubber cap on the stud and see. Disconnect your neg battery terminal for a couple minutes to clear the codes and start over. That totally worked for me and all my problems went away. Best part is it was quick and cost me nothing. Good luck!
