Power mirror not working. Dealer not much help.

So, my third trip to the dealer to resolve my power mirror issues did not result in a fixed power mirror. They've replaced the switch and the mirror and now I'm about to give up on the whole process.

Anyone know what might be the cause after eliminating the possibility of the mirror itself and the doors switch? Is it just one of those weird Jeep electrical issues that I'm forced to live with?

07 WK Overland.

Thanks!

its in the door harness......have them replace the harness behind the door panel

So it's the passenger side mirror. They replaced that mirror and the switch in the driver door. Do you know which harness it might be? I know there's one that connects the mirror to the door panel and also there are two large ones behind the door panel on the drivers side. I should go look at the schematic... Possible to test with a multimeter?

I believe the harness in the drivers door. I had the exact same problem.....they replaced the mirror and then found it was the drivers door harness

Ack! I'm sick of taking it to the dealer for this. It looks like they replaced the black box inside the door as there was a torx screw missing. They also broke one of the female retaining clips for the door panel that hold the plastic snaps. When I inspected their work when I got home, I wasn't happy. The wiring plugs weren't secure and flapping around inside the door. I could just tell when I drove it home how it sounded different.

Anyway, sorry to vent about this whole thing. I might give them a call on monday and let them know about the door panel. Although I'm afraid to piss them off as they're the only game in town now.

I doubt it bro. Maybe you could find a cheap or broken door panel to buy. the harnesses on on them. just make sure to get the same panel you have now. the memory door panel harness will not work on a non-memory Jeep

Re: Power mirror not working. Dealer not much help.

Does anyone have a way to convert dealer part numbers? In researching my broken mirror issue, I looked at the repair order and noticed they used the following part number to replace the RH mirror.

1KX721X8AA - Mirror: Outside, Rearview, E

Google is no help on that PN and it doesn't match anything I see in the parts list. Are there internal part numbers or is this just simply the wrong part?
