Dashboard Glare on Windshield - saddle interior

I just picked up a 2013 overland summit 5.7 hemi. I love the wk2 but the one thing that annoys me is the slight glare of the saddle dash on the windshield. The dealer cleaned the car and put a bunch of armor all on the dash. It's super shinny. I've been trying to clean it off but it's still greasy.

Does anybody else have this problem? Will it go away once the armor all wears off?

No armor all or shine on my saddle dash, but the glares is very annoying. I have to wear polarized sunglasses during daytime driving.

Can't believe a dealer did this! It's a super no-no with modern interiors. I would take it back to him and have his detail guys clean it off. I might add lighter interiors do have more glare than darker. When I bought my black interior Buick Enclave, guys on their forum with the light grey complained about it a lot, but I didn't notice it with mine. There are special products available to clean and protect modern interiors without adding a glossy finish. Meguiar's makes several good products for interior cleaning and protection.

I agree with jacko15...that ArmorAll stuff is horrible and absolutely is going to contribute to increased glare. You'll never completely eliminate the effect of the lighter color dash, but keeping things "factory matte" is important to keep it to the minimum. Personally, it doesn't bother me and prefer the lower heat factor from the sun from the lighter material. I only noticed it for a short time after I bought my Summit and it's a non-factor at this point.

I just clean mine with the Lexol wipes (the same ones I use for our saddles :)) and there's no added shine one the moisture dries.

Yeah armor all on the leather dash is a big no-no. You have to get that off of there or it could wind up discoloring and ruining the dash.

I would use a solution of 1 part Woolite to 5 parts water to start...let me know how that works.

Get your windshield tinted, it will cut all glare and make driving much more enjoyable. I'm not talking about a dark tint, that would be a mistake, just take it and get a clear tint with UV protection applied, cuts all the dash glare like a champ. I've done this with all my vehicles.

Get the armor all off, too. :p

No issues with mine. Clean it with a Lexol or equivalent cleaner to get the silicone off.

Use a mild cleaner like Meguiar's interior detailer. It will get that crap off of your dash and look great after.

The Meg's Quik Interior Detailer isn't going to be strong enough to remove the armor all thats on there...its great for quick touchups, but doesn't have much cleaning power.

I've cleaned it with water and soap. Most of the shine is gone, but I can still run my fingers on the dash and get a greasy film on my fingers.

I wear polarized glasses for the most part. I just hate wearing them when it's overcast or dark.

It doesn't bother my wife and I can, for the most part, look past it.....but sometimes I get annoyed that a brand new vehicle would have this issue.
