Front Jack/Lift Point

Is there a spot on the front of the wk that I can jack the vehicle so that both front wheels are off the ground at the same time. I'm using a 3-ton floor jack. I crawled underneath but didn't see any good spots. If anyone has any input or pictures I'd appreciate it.

there arent any. the only jacking points are under the a pillar on the frame rail or under the lower control arm.

youll need to lift one side, get a jack stand under it, then dothe other side.

plus NEVER get under the jeep with onkly a jack ALWAYS USE A JACK STAND

If you have 2 jacks you can lift both sides up at once but otherwise just do what rob suggested. And yes, always use stands!

yes to the jack stand. someone who lived by me was killed last year on the highway when his vehicle fell on him because the jack failed.

Agreed, Also, there is notch on the lower control arm for the jack and "ALWAYS USE A JACK STAND"

There are flat points on the LCA. One is right beside the brakes, the lowest point of the arm. Another is up in a groove a bit further back up the arm - you'll have to feel for it.

The scissor jack in the pic posted is a death trap! Damn thing tipped over when I was jacking it up on a flat surface, thank god I had stands and bottle jacks supporting it at other points. I'd say just throw away the scissor that comes with the Jeep and spend $30 on a bottle jack at Home Depot. MUCH more stable!

thanks for the replies/pics. i was going through my pdf repair manual and found this page...hopefully it can help someone else. i always use jack stands too. i've never trusted scissor jacks and i've had floor jacks roll on me before.

I put my jack on the other day and it fell while I was tighting the lug nuts. And yes I put it exactly where the manual said too. Nothing was hurt though.
