Spring A/V upgrade project

Spring is approaching here and I've gotten the itch (and money) to do an A/V upgrade in my '11 Laredo E w/6-speakers. I'm calling this my spring a/v upgrade project and I'm going all Alpine.

Headunit upgrade
Alpine INE-S920HD
SiriusXM SXV200
PAC RP4-CH11
PAC TR-7

Speakers upgrade
Front: Alpine SPR-60C
Rear: Alpine SPR-60

Adding Amp
Alpine MRX-F35

Adding backup camera
2011-2013 Backup Camera Kit

Now you're probably saying to yourself "hey, no subwoofer?". Nope! The Alpine Type-R speakers give all the bass I require and then some.

I'll be receiving all the parts in the next 2-3 weeks. Hopefully it will warm up in that time for me to begin the project.

I'll update this thread as the project goes alone. Plenty of pictures to come! If you have questions, feel free to ask them.;)

What's involved with removing the panels to put the new new speakers in?? I'm assuming you'll reuse the factory grills.

You need a door panel removing tool. Sort of looks like a big fork.

The speaker grills built into the panels will remain. It will look factory, but won't sound factory. ;)

Make sure you send pics of the speakers you're using and the job as you install them. Will everything plug right up or will a mod be necessary to fit the jeeps harness? Could you just install the speakers and use jeeps amp?

I will post plenty of pics. I rewired my Jeep last year so there's new speaker wire going to each door.

I don't have the Jeep 9-speaker system so no oem amp. I'm installing my own.

Looks good. But sorry, 6" mids will never replace a sub. They'd probably keep up with OE sub, but never a decent aftermarket one + amp.

I know speakers won't replace a sub, but for my needs I don't need a sub. Maybe down the road, but for now it's not important.

There's still snow and it's still cold out, so not sure when I'll be able to tackle this. I'm hoping for Easter long weekend.
