Tires

Well it is time to put some new rubber on the jeep. Just want a few opinions and see what you guys think. I am in desperate need of tires.

Right now I am looking at:

255/70/r17
General Grabber At2
Hankook Dynapro ATM
Falken Rocky Mountain ATS

This route will be with a 2' RC Lift and probably spacers, pinch weld.

265/70/r17
Goodyear Wrangler Authority
Mickey Thompson Baja Radial STZ

I am open to options and ideas. I mostly due road work with a little bit of free way driving.

So what do you guys think????

This is posted also in the WK thread but as you can see from some of my other additions I think it fits in here as well.

Re: Tires

Anything but Generals. Those are just junk in my experience.

I still really like my cooper AT3's! Great AT tire and pretty good prices.

Re: Tires

Well everything changed due to craigslist. I got five tires and rims off of craigslist today for $475. Wrangler Moab rims of a 2009 Wrangler Limited and 265/70/17 tire size. Got them to mount and roll down the road with a 5/16 spacer from AutoZone. It has just enough clearance to do road work only.

Rims for sure need to be plasti dipped. Can't wait to see the MPG drop. Try to get a few pics up tomorrow.

Re: Tires

I put the fallen wild peak ats exact same as rocky mountain and they perform amazing on both highway and mud/dirt and deep snow. We had an ice storm and then 3-4inches of snow coverage and I was pulling cars n trucks uphillwith no traction issues whatsoever. They steered me away from generals and in glad they did

x2. Put the AT3's on beginning of winter. We've had an odd winter, everything under the sun - deep snow, wet heavy stuff, ice, freezing rain...you name it. Best tires I've ever owned.

Re: Tires

Yea I was looking at all the above before the guy on craiglist posted. The tires are Open Country and defiantly are some meaty boys. Curious how they hold up in the elements.
