Road chemical damage to rims

I live in Montana where they use liquid chemicals in the winter to melt ice on the roads. It destroys Jeep wheels in less than 2 months!

I have a Jeep GC Overland with Chrome rims. I have had it on Montana roads for less than 2 months in the winter and the spokes (that are chrome) and pressed into the rim are still ok. But the Aluminum rim outer lip is just trashed.
It's all eaten away.

I have a 2000 Jeep GC Limited with the limited alum factory rims. They are completely shot! They are still safe wheels but they are just shot! The whole wheel outer covering material is eaten away.

Is there a coating or spray that you can put on these rims that will stop this
chemical destruction?

Neither car is here today, but I will try to post photos tonight.

Thanks in advance. CK

In in CO they use the liquid mag chloride too. My 98 has the factory 5.9 wheels and I don't have a problem with those..... seem to gave some clear coat of something.

I put 3-4 coats of wheel sealant on my rims and it keeps them protected
