Should dealers demo SRT cost less?

At 5k miles on a '13 they can still sell it new, but is it worth less since, you know, it's been driven for 5k miles? I would think you should be able to go 2% under invoice and minus the holdback, right?

Yes that puts you at 10% off sticker. Here in Ohio if I had a trade I'd get all the tax savings as well.

I would think there should be some savings, but I don't know how much.

It used to be that the entire sales force had cars and these were the "demos". If you drove it and liked it you ordered a car. At some predetermined time or mileage the demos were sold, as new, but with a discount.

Today, cars are sold off the lot and any one can be considered a demo. If you want a test drive they hand you the keys to any car you point to. If you don't buy it, it's a demo.

I was very happy to have ordered my Jeep which I received with 4 miles on it ... And the previously discussed paint damage. Go figure.

My 2012 was the owners demo with 5700 miles on it. Window was 65,375 and invoice was 61,803 and he let me have it for 55,000 witch was 11% under invoice. It also was never lic. Has all options even rear dvd and that was a must for the wife.

That's a pretty significant savings. I'm going to go in today and shoot an offer on a 2013.

Will a loaded '13 (besides video) be similar to a standard '14? (Things like luxury group II) or is that an option that needs to be added to the 14?

Does anyone know what holdback is on $67,500 msrp is?

The hold back is 3% of the msrp or in your case about $2025.00.

Re: Should dealers demo SRT cost less?

Thank you!

I'm running the options through my head and a lot of people got their 2014 srt's 1% under invoice. If a '13 can be had for the same plus maybe $2000 in holdback, I think I'm going to just get the 2014. Its got way more function to only cost $2000 more.

Realistically a demo '13 with an MSRP of 67500, I'd only want to pay around $59000 at this point and I don't think thats going to happen. I'd rather spend 63-63500 on the 8 speed.

I doubt you will get a 14 close to invoice untill Chrysler has some big discounts or until the 15 are out and that wont be until oct of 14 unless they do a early entry date.

Theres at least a couple dealers that have already signed below invoice deals over a month ago.

When did you buy your 12 demo? That was a good deal.

I bought mine in dec 2012 and if you can get a dealer to sell it at invoice make dam sure you get the orignal invoice from them. I have had dealer tell me what the invoice was and i said ok i want to see the invoice and they say we cant do that and i say by.
