Noticed a Change from the 2012 Overland
I was looking underneath the front to check things out on my 2014 Summit and I noticed that Jeep sealed up the porthole in the belly pan it had on the 2012 to do and oil and filter change. No big deal to me since after doing the first oil and filter change on the 2012, that little opening it had, had some sharp edges in that plastic and wound up leaving my wrist and hands with scratches.
After that, I just remove the entire belly pan (about 6 bolts and 3 plastic retainers) and it gives much more room to do the oil change.
Just letting everyone who does their own oil change on the 2014 know because I'm sure there will be some that aren't going to be very happy with the added time needed to R&R the belly pan. Also for me, getting the oil filter off the hemi first oil change will be much easier, though I bet the filter will still be on there extremely tight.
