Remote flipper glass DIY

I'm thinking most of you know this but just in case ....

The key fob for the 2013s can still remote unlock the flipper glass. The only thing missing is the contact for the button. I picked up a 2011 fob off of eBay. Was hoping to just use the rubber buttons from the eBay fob but it was pretty cheap and crappy looking so I cut a contact out of the eBay fob and glued it to my OEM fob. I now have the remote flipper glass feature that was removed in ... 2012 I believe.

Hold the phone.....so you say any 2013 model can be opened with this Mod? Does it have to have the power rear glass or anything?

Do you see the photo in my original post? The middle photo on the right (Back of eBay fob). I cut one of those silver contacts out of the ebay fob and glued it to the rubber on the OEM fob. See middle photo on the left (Back of OEM fob w/contact from eBay fob). Make sense?

It should work on any 2012 or 2013. I don't know why only mine would have this. You can easily confirm though. Take apart your key fob (pretty easy). It should look like the top left picture in my original post (OEM Guts). See the metal circles (contacts)? The flipper glass is the bottom left one. Use one of the other buttons on the OEM rubber piece to test the flipper glass to confirm it works. Two clicks should unlock the flipper glass.

This is the one I got but a word of caution....It's cheap junk. It looks and feeling like crap. That's why I decided to only use the contact from it.

Also, I tested the bottom right button on the OEM fob but all it did was flash the lights. Not sure if that does anything.

Guys,
How do you operate the panic alarm? Is it a press and hold or several presses to activate. This button is missing of the Aussie fobik however the internals are all there (eg flipper glass works with the above test).

Press once and it turns on. Press again to turn it off.
